Troubleshooting the Editor

Tip:  If you consistently need to remove formatting from a page, that may indicate that the editor is not properly saving content.  Check the version of your browser, and see if there is an update to install.

Remove Formatting

Removing Formatting will set selected text back to default formatting.  This is especially useful (and sometimes necessary) when pasting in content from outside sources.  It also helps in cases when there are errors on the page in VIEW mode that do not show up in EDIT mode.  For example, if text on a page shows in edit mode, but is hidden in view mode, removing the formatting of the text may fix the problem.

Example:

Before removing formatting: After removing formatting:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

To remove formatting from the text of any page, enter edit mode on the page and select all the text. Then, click the "Remove Formatting" button.
