This describes the "Notifications & RSS" setting of each workspace. Click here for information on managing the notifications you receive for a workspace you are a member of.
There are two ways for users to get notifications of changes on a workspace, either through email or through an RSS feed. Uncheck the boxes and click the Save button to disable either of these methods for all users of the workspace.
These settings will turn off the notifications for all users of the workspace at the same time. Notifications can be set and adjusted at different intervals per user, and this setting is not meant to be used to control notifications on individual items. If a Moderator disables email notifications, then makes a change on a page, and then re-enables notifications, users that receive notifications at less frequent intervals, may still receive a notification about the change.
Please note, that users are only notified of changes to content they have access to. If you need to exempt a user from accessing a page, or receiving updates about a page, then you need to adjust the folder or page security for that item or folder. Trying to limit access to content by disabling email notifications on the workspace is not effective, and is not part of the design of the service.
Additionally, there is no method by which any user can modify or control the notification settings for another user. PBworks Admins can adjust the settings in a user's profile, but any individual user can also adjust that setting according to their own needs.
