Page and File Properties
The properties function of PBworks have been recently modified to allow properties to be applied not only to workspaces in general, but also directly to pages and files.
By default, all properties defined before this change retain the "applies to workspaces" definition, but users with Network Administrator access can modify existing properties on the network to allow them to be applied to files and pages. Click here to see how a network administrator can set up properties so that they can be applied to pages and files.
In the picture above, the first property is allowed to be applied to workspaces, pages, and files, and when items in search are found with those properties, users can use that property to narrow down the results. The second property can only be applied to workspaces and files, and cannot be used to narrow down search results.

Searching for Tagged Pages
Searching for tags is done through the normal search bar in the upper right corner of the page. The tags will not appear in the autocomplete, but are indexed along with all your page and file content.
When the search query matches a tag, the page that is tagged with that tag is listed first.
Listing of All Tags and Tagged PagesFor a complete list of all tags and tagged pages, you can direct your workspace's users to your tags.php page by entering the following URL into your browser's address bar: "yourworkspace".pbworks.com/w/tags, replacing "yourworkspace" with your workspace's name.
The template TagIn April 2014 we introduced our new Network-wide Page and File Types, and announced that we would be phasing out the old workspace-level Page and File templates. You can read all about the advantages of the new Network-wide Types on our blog post HERE. To help you with this transition we have created a Webinar that you can view HERE |
